Aretek has built an operating system (Aretek.OS) specifically for Additive Construction (AC) delivery that combines certified systems, engineering workflows, quality protocols, and regulatory groundwork to support every project and engagement we take on. Aretek.OS ensures that AC projects can proceed from design through permitting to occupancy, covering everything that building with AC demands within existing construction processes.

A Repeatable Path to Permits

Aretek.OS includes a streamlined, reusable path to obtain permits for AC projects, grounded in the alternative solution permit secured by our licensed engineering team (PEO Certificate of Authorization held by Printerra Inc.) for our 3D-Printed Student Housing Project in Windsor, Ontario. AC projects delivered using Aretek.OS and our Engineered 3DCP Wall System can move forward under existing building codes, without waiting for standards that are still years away.

"Developed over years of accumulated expertise, testing, and delivery experience, Aretek.OS supports every engagement, enabling the success of your AC projects when you build with us."

From Design to Print

All AC projects use BIM (Building Information Modelling) as the environment from which printed wall paths are generated, where complex geometries are realized, and where design, structural engineering, and fabrication are brought into a unified process. Aretek.OS includes the conversion of any architectural drawings that exist outside of BIM. This is one of the ways our operating system is purpose-built for AC delivery, ensuring that conventional trades can integrate their work from a fully coordinated model and that design changes can be made efficiently without rework cascading through the project.

Built-In Quality Assurance and Live Research

Within our operating system, Aretek tracks quality assurance and compliance throughout construction, generating documentation and performance data that provides assurance that the project is being delivered to standard. Aretek.OS is also informed by live research. For example, our Windsor project is an active research environment, with embedded sensors and fibre optic monitoring systems capturing real-time data on structural behaviour, thermal performance, and material durability under Canadian climate conditions. That data feeds directly back into Aretek.OS, enabling the continuous refinement of our printing protocols and mix designs, validating our structural models, and strengthening future project submissions.

Developed over years of accumulated expertise, testing, and delivery experience, Aretek.OS supports every engagement, enabling the success of your AC projects when you build with us.
